When I finally stepped on the ice, I felt all wobbly. It was really hard to keep my balance. I had to keep moving around to avoid falling flat on my face. It didn’t take Steve long to figure out that I had no idea what I was doing. “Hold onto this.” Steve shoved a chair towards me. At first I didn’t know what he was doing, but as soon as I reached out for it, I understood. I grabbed onto the chair, and I was able to keep my balance a lot easier.

By the end of the day, I was able to stand up without needing the chair. Steve said that if we ever do this again, we might be able to play hockey. I made sure to ask if he wanted to have a snowball fight with me and my friends tomorrow, and he said that he’d love to. The big snowball party starts tomorrow! I just hope I stand a chance. My friends can be some pretty tough competition. I guess that I’ll just have to wait to find out!
